Kevin Michael Moran

Originally from Queens New York, Kevin was born into a family of artists.

The “acting bug” bit hard in high school and continued into college where he acquired a B.A in English Literature and Theatre, minoring in Secondary Education. Thank goodness for the latter, because he moved to Los Angeles where acting jobs were few and far between, causing Kevin to do a complete 180-turn and begin a 20-year teaching career with LAUSD. The courses he taught included English Literature, speech and debate and musical theatre. While instructing drama -- to get away from the boxed musicals -- Kevin wrote and directed 10 original stories that explored the joys and wounds of being a teenager.

As a 40 year member of Actors' Equity and Screen Actors Guild, Kevin has toured the U.S. in several musicals, performed off-Broadway at the Public Theatre, done Shakespeare, Chekhov in repertory, short films, episodics, and a sci-fi horror film entitled " Tiny Cinema" now on Amazon Prime.

He is thrilled to be a part of House Theater where there are plans to re-mount the play "Sick" by Dahn Hiuni which premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2023. "Sick" tells the story of American Psychiatry in the 1950's and its determination and success in labeling homosexuality as an illness, eventually being overturned in the 1970's due to the relentless efforts of gay activists who would not give up or give in.
